Savestate Abusing/RNG Cheating Guide by Blu Spidr
In-Depth Guide You have to use an emulator that has save state. Example 1. I'm facing a boss. Units 1-3 can face him.
Basic Abuse
Unit 1 can kill him if he crits.
Unit 2 can kill him in 2 hits but will die if he gets hit once. But the boss has a 56% chance of a hit.
Unit 3 is Hector and can pwn the boss. The next bunch of #'s the RNG uses will always be the same.
You can use save state (shift+f1, f2, f3, etc.) to see what will happen if you use this unit, than this unit,
than this unit, or a different order.
Like say I want unit 2 to get the exp for a kill. I do save state, than attack with unit 1.
If he doesnt crit, he now gets xp and sets up the kill for unit 2. If he does crit and kills the boss,
I return to my save state (I want unit 2 to kill him). I then see what happens if unit 2 can kill him by himself.
If he cant I return to the save state and kill the boss with unit 1 (who criticals).
Now lets say unit 1 did NOT crit, but unit 2 still needs 2 hits to kill and dies when he attacks.
Then I return to the origional save state and attack with unit 1 and then finish with unit 3. Those are my options.
You can use save state in this way to maximize the amount of experience you get while minimizing the
amount of damage you take.
The other way to RNG cheat is arena abusing. One of the things about the arena is that every time you enter
the arena, the #s that would be used in the fight are used, regardless of whether you enter the battle or not.
What I mean is... Let's say the RNG will produce 87, 67, and 90 for the next 3 attacks when you enter the arena,
and the pending battle will be over in 3 turns. If you decide to not enter the pending battle
(lets say the wager was 930), these 3 numbers are now taken off the list of numbers the RNG produces next.
You enter the arena again, a new battle is offered, and a new set of #s are at the top of the RNG quene.
(For those who dont know what quene means, its a order that things pending to happen in.)
Combine this with save state to roughly control what stats you gain when you level up.
The more demanding your expectations are for each level up, the longer it will take.
Mine are str, skl, spd, and def if the unit uses weapons or res if it uses magic all get 1 point.
All other stats get 5 points. If the total of stats I get when I level up are not 3 or greater, I try again.
It takes time but the units you get are uber and fun to use
(Erk, Lucius, and Canas all maxing in mag, spd, skl, and res was fun to have).
ARENA ABUSING 4 DUMMIES!!!
If that confused you, follow these instructions.
1. Enter arena.
2. Save state when he offers wager.
3. Enter fight no matter what the wager is. fight till the end and do not concede the fight.
4. A If you win and don't lv up or lv up and like what you got, repeat till level 20.
4. B If you die or lv up and dont like what you got, open the last save state, do not accept the wager,
enter arena again. Save state when offered new wager and fight. Continue till level 20.
The advantage of this is that you can never die, and can never lose gold from conceding.
So you also rack up TONS of gold. You also don't have to look for the easy fights,
so you might win a handfull of 900+ wager fights.
