Fire Emblem 7 Weapon Triangle Guide
The Weapon Triangle is what says that swords are effective against axes, axes are effective against lances,
and lances are in turn effective against swords. But, don't think this applies to real life too.
The Weapon Triangle
Physical:
Swords > Axes
Axes > Lances
Lances > Swords
Odd One Out = Bows
As you can see, Bows are left out as 1) they are long range and 2) have the same effectiveness against
all things, because 3) they are not melee type weapons.
If you have the upperhand against enemies using the weapon triangle, you have a better chance of surviving,
a better chance of hitting the enemy, and a better chance of doing more damage all together.
Making certain units attack other units with a disadvantage of the weapon triangle is an effective strategy
to quickly clear out units and avoid damage.
Advantage-
Damage +1
Hit + 10%
Disadvantage-
Damage -1
Hit - 10%
Even though individually the bonuses may seem small, it's actually strengethening yourself and weakening the enemy,
which, makes somewhat of a difference! Plus, if the enemy has that advantage, then they have an increased hit %,
which is ultimately bad seeing as the more they hit you, the worse the situation becomes.
